Personal Development Lessons

The Personal Development curriculum is designed to help students gain the skills knowledge and understanding they need to lead, healthy, independent lives. Students learn to recognise their own worth, develop a sense of their own identity and the ability to take their place in the community.

In years 7-9 pupils have timetabled one hour sessions every week which are supported by three whole school drop down ‘Diversity Days’. Diversity Days focus on topics related to Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development, British Values, Citizenship, Personal, Social, Health and Economic education, Religious Studies and Career Guidance. This provision is supported by educational visits and sessions led by external providers in school.
