Pastoral Support Leader
£24,717 pa (pro rata term time only) to commence September 2017

The successful applicant will lead an identified group of students and their tutors within the school to address the needs of students who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. As part of the whole school ethos the post holder is expected to be pro-active in the vision and aims of South Shields School.

You will have thorough and up-to date knowledge of safeguarding, working with external agencies, inclusion and have experience of working with hard to reach families. You will need to have resilience and a methodical approach to working.

As a member of staff at South Shields School, you will look forward to an exciting and comprehensive program of CPD to support you in your role. Our support team work collaboratively to provide the highest standards of learning, teaching and support for all of our young people. In addition the successful candidate would be expected to contribute to our thriving extra-curricular provision and wider school life.
